A week ago, I bought my brother a Kano Computer Kit. The kit is a pre-programmed raspberry pi running Kano OS, a special software that teaches kids how to code with many great games and access to the internet. He has already mastered the understanding of how loops work in this past week and understands the logical order that code must progress in. I’m now planning on giving him access to codecademy, where I will guide him through the syntax of several programming languages on the website. On his Kano, he is able to play a Linux version of Minecraft, which makes him feel well accomplished because he is able to CODE creations instead of construct them. Starting code with him this week has advanced his knowledge and understanding almost exponentially. The more he learns, the faster he learns. I can’t wait to see him programming python on his own soon enough!
